KUWAIT CITY, Aug 11: Official Spokesperson of the Communications Ministry Mishaal Al-Zaid confirmed that the first phase of the plan to replace the old fiber system with a modern one, which has been suspended since 2010, will start on Sunday – from Al-Bidaa to Salwa, Rumaithiya, Salmiya, Ras Al Salmiya, Kuwait City and Fintas Agricultural Area, reports Al-Jarida daily.

He then appealed to the owners of homes and buildings in Al-Bidaa to cooperate with the engineers of the ministry and the concerned company in replacing the old fiber system to ensure the provision of high speed Internet service to subscribers.
