KUWAIT CITY, April 16: A Filipino man was arrested at Abdali border checkpoint for attempting to smuggle 16,000 narcotic pills locally known as Kabti into the country. According to sources, Abdali customs officers checked a truck that arrived at Abdali border checkpoint from Iraq and found 16,000 narcotic pills hidden in the truck. They arrested the Filipino driver and referred him with the confiscated narcotic pills to the concerned authorities for investigations and necessary legal action against him.

Remains of newborn found: The body of a newborn was discovered inside sewage pipes in Egaila area. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the baby, securitymen rushed to the location and pulled out the newborn’s body which they referred to the Forensics Department. A case has been registered and investigations are ongoing to find the culprit who dumped the corpse in the sewer.
