Filipino boss, 29 held in Mahboula gambling den

KUWAIT CITY, March 1: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department raided one of the apartments in Mahboula and busted a gambling den and arrested 29 people, including 19 women – Arabs and Asians, reports Al-Qabas daily. A security source said the mastermind behind the gambling activity is believed to be a Filipino who is said to be a professional.

The CID sources said the authorities acting on information got permission from the Public Prosecution and raided the apartment and arrested the suspects. They have been referred to the relevant authorities for investigation and further interrogations.

The sources pointed out the CID men found 5,000 dinars believed to be used in gambling activity and different types of tools used in gambling. The daily added, the network is internationally active.
