Filipina woman, newborn baby found ‘dead’ in Farwaniya flat

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 16: A Filipina woman and a newborn baby were found dead inside a flat in Farwaniya area. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about an Asian woman lying unconscious on the floor inside a flat, securitymen rushed to the location and found the woman on the floor with a baby beside her. Upon examination, they were discovered to be dead. Securitymen suspect that the woman had died while delivering the baby. The two corpses were referred to the Forensics Department for determining the exact cause of death.

2 held with drugs: Two GCC nationals were arrested in Ahmadi area in possession of 30 Captagon pills and a cigarette filled with hashish. According to security sources, Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling the area when they suspected a vehicle and ordered the driver to pull over. They checked the details of the driver and his companion to discover they are GCC nationals. They checked them to find 30 Captagon pills and a cigarette filled with hashish on them. The two suspects were arrested and referred with the confiscated drugs to the Drugs Control General Department for necessary legal action.

Police nab 2 thieves: Two expatriates were arrested for attempting to steal construction materials from a project site in Maidan Hawally area along with two other suspects who managed to escape. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the theft, securitymen rushed to the location and caught four individuals in the act of stealing the construction materials. When the suspects started running, securitymen chased them and managed to catch two of them while the other two managed to escape. When questioned, they confessed to stealing construction materials and selling them in scrapyard. The two suspects were referred to the concerned authorities for further investigations while securitymen have launched investigations to find the rest of the suspects using the details provided by the arrested individuals.
