The winners FC Sparks celebrate with the championship trophy

The Kuwait-Indian Football Federation for the first time held its own 7-A-Side soccer tournament for all Indians recently under the name ‘Federation Cup’. Taking part in the tournament were 26 teams. The tournament was played on league-cum-knockout basis which gave every team equal opportunity to showcase their talents.

Of the 26 teams eight made in to the knockout stage — FC Sparks, Tuskers FC, Indian Strikers, Mac Kuwait, Big Boys, CFC Salmiya, Football Lovers and Skynet Miracles. The FC Sparks emerged winners beating the Big Boys in the finals by a solitary goal.

The tournament was officiated by KIFF referees. The chief guest was V. K. Vohra. The tournament was a big success — the festive season combined with soccer. The following is the fixture for KIFF League matches which will be played on Jan 5, 2018 — 6:45 am Goa Football Club vs Pen Friends United; 8.00 am Soccer Kerala vs United Goan Centre and 9:00 am AKFC vs Tuskers FC.
