Fatigue kills two cadet officers

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, expresses his condolences to the family members of the deceased students Hudaib Al-Sawarij and Faleh Al-Azmi of Batch 46.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 30: Kuwait Army general staff headquarters yesterday mourned the death of its two cadet officers, Hudaib Al-Sawarij and Faleh Al-Azmi from the 46th batch of the cadets officer who died of fatigue and exhaustion, reports Al-Rai daily. The officers died inside the intensive care unit of a hospital.

Meanwhile, the health of two of the three other cadet officers who were placed under observation has improved, while the third is listed as ‘unstable’. In the meantime, the Kuwaiti Army Staff has launched an investigation to the circumstances surrounding the death of the cadet officers.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah extended his deepest condolences on Thursday over the death of a pair of Kuwaiti officer trainees, Hadeeb Al-Sawarij and Faleh Al-Azemi.

His Highness the Kuwaiti leader expressed his “deepest sympathies” in a cable he sent to the families of the late cadets, saying he was distraught over the tragic loss.
