Fake plastic surgeon arrested

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 11: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have arrested an unidentified surgeon and referred him to the Public Prosecution, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The daily acting on a tip-off the security authorities raided an apartment in Hawalli and seized the fake doctor who was conducting plastic surgeries inside the apartment at low cost.

The police have also seized from the apartment instruments and medical equipment. A security source said that ‘doctor’ originally worked as a representative for a company in Kuwait and after he took to plastic surgery he reportedly placed an advertisement for cosmetic surgery at low cost which aroused the suspicions.

The source added that the detectives after conducting investigations and monitoring the accused and inquiring about his data discovered that he entered the country about 7 years ago and worked in many private companies, and has nothing to do with medicine at all.

Acting on information and armed with a warrant issued by the Public Prosecution, securitymen raided the apartment and arrested the suspect. The source pointed out the suspect has admitted to his criminal activity and said the motive was to make quick money.
