KUWAIT CITY, Jan 22: The Jahra police have arrested a Kuwaiti for impersonating police and referred him to authorities, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily said the suspect was caught red-handed using a blue police fl asher light on his vehicle. When the police patrol car asked the man to show his ID, he failed and attempted to escape.
Drug pills seized: Customs officers at the Kuwait International Airport have arrested an unidentified Asian for attempting to smuggle narcotic pills into the country, reports Al-Anba daily. According to airport sources, the officers found 5,000 pills hidden in a secret compartment of one of the bags. The contraband and the suspect have been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control.

Wanted man held: The Ahmadi police have arrested a Kuwaiti who had been sentenced in absentia for committing seven financial frauds worth more than KD 27,000, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the man who was seized in Mahboula, has been handed over to the Sentences Enforcement Department.
Mentally retarded: Police at the Kuwait International Airport have arrested a Kuwaiti and handed him over to the Psychiatric Hospital, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to the daily the man was arrested when he entered the departures lounge and asked the officers to allow him to go to Morocco to meet his girlfriend.
