A failed love story – Kuwaiti woman conned

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 5: The complaint of a female citizen revealed a failed love story built on lies that starred a Jordanian conman who deceived the woman as he claimed to be Kuwaiti millionaire but he is just a poor expatriate impersonating a rich Kuwaiti, reports Al-Rai daily.

The truth came to light when the Operations Unit in the Interior Ministry received a report that the suspect broke into the apartment of the woman in Hawally. A team was dispatched to the location where they found out the person who broke into the apartment is a Jordanian who said he just came to mend ties with her, but she refused to meet him, hence, she called the Operations Unit.

Securitymen arrested the fake Kuwaiti millionaire but before they referred him to a police station, he confessed that he was the woman’s boyfriend and did not intend to break into the apartment but to fix their troubled relationship. The woman told police that she was heartbroken as she lived a lie during their relationship.

The Jordanian was arrested and taken to a police station where a case was supposed to be registered but the woman asked for withdrawal of the case provided Mr Fake Millionaire pledges that he will never go near her again.
