Expat gang of sick leave forgers in limelight

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 22: A gang of expatriates was discovered to be involved in the forgery of revenue stamps and sick leaves for which they charged money from their clients, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources from the health sector.

They explained that the gang forged the stamps of some doctors and approved sick leave applications for individuals who require such services. The cost varies depending on the length of the sick leave.

They also launched a five-star home delivery service of sick leaves for which they charge KD 2 per transaction.

The sources insisted that the suspects are not employees of the ministry but are working for a company that has been contracted by Ministry of Health, adding that their salary is about KD 70 per month.

They added that all forged transactions that were carried out during the recent past will be monitored and referred to the legal authorities.
