KUWAIT CITY, Jan 27: Board Chairman and Director General of the Environment Public Authority (EPA) Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ahmad issued a decision banning the importation of parrots and re-exportation of African grey parrots (Psittacus erithacus), reports Alrai daily. Sheikh Abdullah affirmed the decision is based on CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) which was adopted by Kuwait on Aug 12, 2002.
