Egyptian staffer using police car for private work arrested

KUWAIT CITY, June 22: An Egyptian employee of the Interior Ministry was arrested for using patrol car bearing the ministry’s emblem for contract activities, and transporting laborers in Sabah Al-Ahmed City.
A security source said a person tipped off the Observation and Checking Unit about an Egyptian employee of the ministry involved in contractual activities and providing transport for laborers.
A team of detectives was formed to follow up the case, and he was caught red-handed transferring laborers from an under-construction site in Sabah Al-Ahmad City. The suspect has since been suspended from duty. In the meantime, Director of Observation has issued a directive to investigate head of the section where the suspect is employed.
