KUWAIT CITY, April 4: The Court of Appeals upheld the decision of the First Instance Court which sentenced an Egyptian to life imprisonment for joining DAESH.

The Criminal Court previously convicted Ibrahim Suleiman of joining DAESH and planning to kill five American soldiers along the Sixth Ring Road when he deliberately crashed into the vehicle they were riding with the cleaning company vehicle he was driving.

He admitted in court that he follows and supports the activities of DAESH through Internet. He also admitted that the materials found in his vehicle like powder, nails and wires belong to him.

He added that he prepared these materials in order to make an explosive belt, indicating he learned the process through the Internet but he failed to carry it out as he made mistakes while preparing the bomb.

It has been reported that he was brought from the hospital to the Criminal Court on a wheelchair accompanied by a number of nurses. He said the Americans are atheists so they deserve to be killed.

The Ministry of Interior had earlier announced that the relevant security bodies arrested the Egyptian as he caused the collision – a deliberate act targeting the vehicle transporting five American soldiers.
