Egyptian private math tutor jailed for life in 11 yr old student’s rape attempt

KUWAIT CITY, March 26: The Criminal Court, headed by Counselor Ahmad Al-Yassin has sentenced an Egyptian private math teacher to life imprisonment for sexually assaulting a female student in her parents’ home, reports Al-Rai daily.

The incident has been confirmed by the lawyer for the plaintiff Ali Al-Ali. The Prosecution has charged the suspect with ‘abusing’ the 11-year-old student by embracing her and doing flagrant acts. Lawyer Al-Ali has also filed a lawsuit for temporary compensation of 5,001 dinars.

Meanwhile, the Criminal Court has sentenced Abdullah Al-Saleh to five years in prison with hard labor for insulting the Kingdom of Bahrain, reports Al- Rai daily.

The Public Prosecution has charged Al-Saleh with causing harm to Kuwait’s relations with Bahrain through his program which amounted to intervening in the Bahraini regime in terms of the kingdom’s dignity and the dignity of people by publishing sections of his program. The Criminal Court earlier issued several imprisonment sentences with hard labor against Al-Saleh in cases of state security, including the abuse of Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
