Egyptian and an Iranian nabbed for waylaying Asian expats

KUWAIT CITY, March 19: Two expatriates – an Egyptian and an Iranian – have been arrested for waylaying Asian expatriates in Farwaniya area and stealing their possessions.

According to security sources, officers from the Criminal Investigations Department had launched investigations to find the suspects after a large number of victims reported the thefts and lodged complaints against two unknown suspects. The culprits have been referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Meanwhile, Farwaniya securitymen arrested an Asian expatriate in possession of 20 liquor bottles in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area. During investigations, he revealed that he has been selling each bottle for KD 10 to his clients. He was referred with the confiscated liquor bottles to the concerned authorities.

In addition, a man was stabbed during a quarrel among a group of young men inside a camp in Bneidar area. He was referred to the nearest hospital for treatment. Investigations have been launched with the remaining suspects. Also, some drug users were arrested in Mubarak Al-Kabeer area and referred to the Drugs Control General Department for necessary legal action
