Dubai tops list of holiday destinations for Kuwaitis and Expats

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: Around 775,000 Kuwaitis and expatriates are traveling in the middle of the school year, specifically from Jan 15-31, through Kuwait International Airport, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily obtained a copy of the latest flight movement statistics, which showed that the number of departures reached 346,000 while the arrivals reached 429,000 on board 5,325 flights.

The report added that 431,000 of these passengers (55.6 percent) are headed to 10 main destinations while the remaining 344,000 (44.38 percent) are traveling to other destinations. Dubai topped the list of these passengers’ destinations, followed by Doha and Cairo while Istanbul ranked sixth and London ninth.
