Drug pusher arrested; deportation for expats

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 22: Personnel from the Criminal Security Sector have arrested an unidentified person and seized from him 2 kilograms of psychotropic substance, reports Al- Rai daily. The contraband and the suspect have been referred to the Directorate-General of Drugs and Alcohol Control.

Meanwhile, during the security inspections conducted last week, the Traffic and Operations Sector arrested 71 reckless drivers, and 65 juvenile drivers, and impounded 79 vehicles and referred 23 expatriates to the deportation center for committing serious violations, reports Al-Anba daily.

The 65 juveniles who were caught driving without a driver’s license were referred to the Juvenile Prosecution, while the expats who were arrested for ferrying passengers were referred to the deportation center.

The campaign was carried out under the supervision of the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Operations and Traffic Affairs, Major General Jamal Al Sayegh, and under the field supervision of the Assistant Director-General of the General Traffic Department for Licensing Affairs, Major General Yousef Al-Khadda, as well as, the Director-General of the General Department of Emergency Police, Brigadier Faris Al-Qahtani.
