KUWAIT CITY, April 15: The General Traffic Department (GTD) launched a campaign targeting those performing car stunts along Arabian Gulf Street, Maghreb Motorway and Jahra Motorway. In a press statement, the Public Relations and Security Media General Department at the Interior Ministry revealed that Undersecretary Lieutenant General Mahmoud Mohammad Al-Dosari supervised the campaign with the assistance of the assistant undersecretary for traffic affairs.

The six-hour campaign started at 12 midnight and ended at 6:00 am with the participation of 26 civilian patrols, 24 military patrols and 117 police officers. It led to the confiscation of six motorcycles and 65 vehicles as well as the arrest of 46 people who are now under the custody of the traffic department. The campaign will continue in other parts of the country to raise public awareness on the importance of strictly complying with traffic rules and regulations to guarantee the safety of all road users.
