‘Don’t forge documents’; 5-7 years jail

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: What some people think that forgery of patients’ documents is a simple administrative violation are unaware that 80 percent of court verdicts regard these offenses as serious and those convicted can face up to seven years in prison, reports Al-Qabas daily. In the latest cases the Criminal Court has sentenced two female employees to 5 years in prison for falsifying patients’ records in exchange for money. An informed source told the daily these strict provisions should deter anyone who tempts to falsify any official document.

Meanwhile, Deputy Director of the Kuwait Field Hospital, Dr. Fawzi Al-Khawari says the hospital in shutting doors after the last Covid-19 patient who was receiving treatment at the hospital has been discharged, reports Al-Qabas daily. The Field Hospital at the Mishref Fairgrounds was established at the height of Covid-19 pandemic to receive and treat patients. Al-Khawari, on his Twitter account thanked all those who contributed in the establishment and operation of this national hospital under the leadership of the Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah.
