KUWAIT CITY, March 1, (KUNA): The Ministry of Health announced Tuesday that it would be hosting 21 international visiting consultants in public hospitals during March. Director of Public Relations and Media Faisal Al-Dosari said the visits come within the framework of the visiting doctors’ program which aims to share their experiences with international universities and medical centers, while also giving patients the opportunity to receive advanced treatment without going through the trouble of seeking medical care abroad.

The visiting doctors are set to lecture and participate in scientific workshops, in additon to medical seminars that would help imrove services provided for the residents of Kuwait. The consultants are highly qualified doctors specializing in Neurosurgery and ophthalmology, orthopedics and general surgery, as well as in fields of Chemotherapy, oncology, nutrition, Physical medicine and rehabilitation, he added. The selection of doctors is based on recommendations made by the various heads of medical departments.
