KUWAIT CITY, Feb 6: The Ministry of Health referred a doctor for investigation as the latter took a video of his colleagues while they were resting and sent the video clips to officials in the ministry; thereby, infuriating his colleagues who complained about this unfair measure, reports Al-Shahid daily.

The video clips showed the doctors’ rooms with the dilapidated beds and drawers and the spread of insects everywhere, as most of the rooms have not been renovated for more than 25 years.

This has prompted interim Minister of Health Sheikh Dr Basel Al-Sabah to issue instructions to the directors of public hospitals and specialized health centers to do an inventory of the rooms allotted for health and administrative personnel to determine what needs to be done in terms of maintenance and furnishing.

The ministry announced later that the inventory will cover the rooms of doctors, nurses, technicians and administrators; while the Kuwaiti Medical Association said it has contacted the doctor who was referred for investigation and confirmed support for his move to seek for improvement of personnel facilities.
