KUWAIT CITY, Dec 29: The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior has called on citizens and residents to take caution when roaming in desert areas, and not tamper or touch any foreign objects that may surface due to the bad weather conditions such as rain of sand blown away by winds, reports Al- Jarida daily.

A landmine found buried in the desert.

The daily added, these may be dangerous objects or ordnance left behind by the Iraqi army more than 30 years ago during the occupation of the country. The administration also called for adherence to the security instructions and to call 112 immediately if any foreign object is found.
