DAESH Filipina ruling Dec 26; Minister under probe

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 14: The Misdemeanor Court has fixed December 26 to deliver judgment in a lawsuit filed by the State Security Department against a female DAESH member of Filipino nationality. The suspect was remanded in the prison over her alleged membership of the outlawed DAESH group with the plan of perpetrating terrorist act to destabilize the national security. The woman had allegedly joined the group through her Somali husband who is fighting alongside other members of the DAESH group. This information was gathered through her social media interactions on her laptop.

Minister probed: Attorney- General Counselor Dhirar Al-Asousi has referred the complaint which was filed against the Minister of Health Dr Ali Al-Obeidi, and two undersecretaries to the permanent Commission of Inquiry for trying ministers, reports Al-Qabas daily. The minister and the undersecretaries are charged with embezzling public money, through a contract signed between the Ministry of Health and one of the US companies that manages the health office in Washington. Meanwhile, the Public Prosecution has released on KD 5,000 bail an unidentified candidate from the fourth constituency who was accused of buying votes, reports Al-Qabas daily. The prosecution has also released lawyer and a citizen also on KD 5,000 bail each in the same case
