Crime rate,violence high during first half of 2018, records show

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 25: Records show the phenomenon of violence in the Kuwaiti society has been on the rise during the first half of 2018 for which the state has yet to find a solution, reports Al-Rai daily.
Giving the details, the daily quoting security sources said over this period 260 murders have been recorded and 124 cases of kidnapping and forceful detention, 93 cases of sexual assault, 762 cases of money fraud, 204 cases of banks robberies and 907 cases of drugs and alcohol consumption and trafficking.
The total number of cases during the first half of this year have shown an increase of 3 percent compared to the previous year and other cases by 7 percent.
