Court takes away kids from drunkard father

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 8: The Ja’fari Status Court revoked the custody right of a father over his children due to his bad drinking habits and repeated abuse, reports Al-Anba daily. The court indicated the father is not trustworthy in raising his children, as confirmed on paper and evidences provided by the Child Protection Center, proving their exposure to violence.

Representative of the mother, Attorney Hawraa Al-Habib, affirmed that the Child Protection Center’s investigations proved that the father is not a good example for his children, as it is unreasonable and acceptable in the first place for him to consume intoxicants that are forbidden by law in front of them. Al-Habib added: If the children continue staying with their father, we should not expect them to be of good behaviour, indicating it’s unfair for them to remain in the custody of the father who had God guiding him to know the blessing of children and knowing he is responsible for them until the Day of Judgment
