Court orders company to pay worker leave money, gratuity

KUWAIT CITY, July 13: The Court of First Instance has ruled in favor of an employee and ordered the company he was working for as director of operations to pay 50,600 dinars as annual leave balance, end of service gratuity and notice period, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
According to case papers when the employee failed to come an amicable settlement of his rights he filed a complaint with the Labor Department of the Ministry of Social Affairs and the company abruptly ended his service. Attorney Ali Matar Al-Wawan representing the plaintiff submitted the documents to the court clearly showing the company had violated the rights of his client.
