Court acquits plastic surgeon of ‘molesting’ lady patient in clinic

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 25:The Court of Cassation, headed by Judge Sultan Bursli, rejected the appeal of the Public Prosecution to punish a well-known plastic surgeon for allegedly molesting a female patient in his clinic and upheld the acquittal of the accused, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Earlier, the Court of Appeals ruled on the acquittal of the plastic surgeon and canceled the ruling of a lower court that sentenced the accused to five years in prison bailable for KD 5,000. The defendant denied the accusation when he appeared in court. His lawyer affirmed his innocence, pointing out that the accusation was malicious as shown in the recording of a security camera installed inside the clinic.
