Considering to exempt 4 categories from institutional quarantine

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 28: A new recommendation has been submitted to health authorities to exclude 4 new categories from institutional quarantine for those coming to Kuwait, and should be listed in the previous list of exceptions provided that they bring PCR (negative) test certificate and quarantine themselves at their residence for period of 14 days.


The new 4 categories will be excluded after going through data of various cases that arrived at Kuwait airport, reports Al Qabas. The sources stated that there is a team formed from several ministries and will submit their recommendations.


The new 4 categories are

1. Kuwaiti Patients who went for medical treatment abroad on their own expense, and were not sent for treatment. Provided they have a certificate indicating from the health office in the country where the treatment was received as these cases require special care.
2. Senior citizens who are over the age of 60 yrs, as some of them arrived in the country and are unable to move and need special care.
3. Attendant who escorted the special care person
4. People with special needs who need special care
