China strengthens health ties with Kuwait

The Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Affairs, Dr Buthaina Al-Mudhaf, discussed with the Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Li Minggang, strengthening health relations and exchanging experiences in the field of dealing with the emerging coronavirus ‘Covid-19’, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The Director of the International Health Relations Department at the Ministry, Dr Rehab Al-Wattian, said in a statement to KUNA that this came during a meeting held at the ministry with the Chinese ambassador, explaining that this meeting comes within the framework of the ministry’s keenness to enhance international health cooperation and exchange experiences with countries.

Dr Al-Wattian added the meeting included an exchange of views on areas of health relations between the Ministry and China and future prospects for strengthening them, in addition to exchanging experiences in the field of preparedness, surveillance, and response to public health emergencies, preventive and treatment protocols to address “Covid- 19”, contain epidemics and reduce the burdens and implications thereof. Dr Al-Wattian indicated the meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, reflecting the common desire to develop and strengthen healthy relations, continuous communication between officials from both sides and exchange of experiences.
