Charter flights for stranded staff from banned 34 countries

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 26: The Corona Emergency Committee headed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh has made it clear that if any of the stranded staff is required from abroad can be brought in through charter flights.


There are expats who wish to leave Kuwait via charter flights depending on destinations, the government agencies who wish return of their staff from the same destination can apply for approval of the committee for their return.


There has been no prohibition or conditions for using charter flights to bring in nationals of those countries which are currently banned coming directly to Kuwait reports al anba. The sources said that approving the return of individuals from the ten categories identified by the Council of Ministers requires identifying the names and professions  to return and checking them to ensure their validity, and then submitting the request to the committee for approval.


The approval of charter flights which will be used to transport concerned persons directly from their countries to Kuwait means approval of DGCA is first required, where later passengers will have to go through institutional quarantine.

The Ministry of Education has prepared the numbers and specialization of teachers who are required for the start of the school year after 6 days.
