Champions FC earn place in final

Champions FC players.

Champions FC earned a spot in the final of the Kefak Grand Hyper League Season 5 through sheer display of brilliance in midfield led from the front by captain Prince Puthussery.

In the semifinal the Champions FC defeated the Big Boys by a solitary goal scored by Prince in a breathtaking display of soccer in one of the most prestigious and popular soccer league games in Kuwait.

It was ruthless, systematic and shrewdly executed dismantling of the opposition in the first half to the frustration of Irshad and Kishore who missed a number of scoring opportunities in what otherwise could have been a one-sided affair had they converted the chances that came the way of Champions FC.

Nonetheless, a stunning save by goalkeeper Ramesh rejuvenated the team and in the second half the team was duly rewarded following a one-two combination by Prince, Nahas, Sujith and Harikuttan. The solitary goal was scored by Prince.

The formidable defensive wall put up by Ranjit, Firoz, Navas and Muthu gave the opposition no clear view of the goal.

Navas was declared the man of the match award for his effortless work in midfield.
