CCTV cameras to monitor security – Man rescued from grave

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: The CCTV cameras are expected to be installed at all vital streets and roadsides and entries and exits of residential areas to tighten the noose on criminals, particularly thieves, and people wanted by law, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting sources close to the issue. It has been reported the system of installing security cameras was to be implemented years ago, but was stopped for unknown reasons.

Rescued from grave: In a strange incident that happened at the Sulaibikhat Cemetery, a Kuwaiti who fell into an open grave had to be rescued by firemen, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily said the Kuwaiti is overweight and had gone to the cemetery to pay his last respects to a friend and mistakenly slipped and fell into the grave. After all attempts to pull the man out of the grave failed, firemen were called to rescue him. The man reportedly escaped unhurt.
