Cars seized, 55 citations – Traffic crackdown

KUWAIT CITY, March 25: Mubarak Al-Kabeer traffic officers issued 55 traffic citations and seized four vehicles during a traffic campaign launched in Qurain and Qosur areas based on instructions from Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Major General Fahad Al-Shuwai.

According to security sources, the General Traffic Department has affirmed that such sudden traffic campaigns will continue in all governorates, and reckless drivers and violators of traffic rules will be arrested. Meanwhile, heavy traffic congestion was experienced on Banks Street in Shuwaikh area after two vehicles collided. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the accident, traffic officers rushed to the location.

They dealt with the situation and restored the traffic flow to normal. No injuries were reported. And, a Sudanese expatriate suffered from injuries when his vehicle collided with another on Jahra Road. He was referred to the nearest hospital by paramedics while securitymen took necessary action.
