KUWAIT CITY, Nov 9: Ahmadi Governorate’s Traffic Flow Department, which is affiliated to General Traffic Department, launched a campaign in Wafra area in coordination with Kuwait Municipality on Sunday to remove the illegal groceries in the area.
They also held a campaign against trucks on Wafra Road opposite Sabah Al-Ahmad area during which 280 citations were issued for violations of Article 207 of Traffic Law including huge violations of driving in the opposite direction and reckless driving.
The General Traffic Department affirmed that it will continue to hold such campaigns in all governorates round the clock to curb traffic violations on the roads.
Bombs found on road: When a Kuwaiti called the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry, bomb disposal experts rushed to a road in Subbiya and detonated a number of bombs believed to have been dumped by an unidentified person after the end of the grace period to hand over weapons, reports Al- Anba daily.
Defaulter arrested: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti who was wanted by law for failing to pay KD 21,000 debt, reports Al-Anba daily. The man, who had been sentenced in absentia, has been handed over to the Sentences Enforcement Department. A security source said the citizen attempted to escape from a police check point and claimed he was in a hurry to take his wife to a hospital. On checking records, police found he was wanted by law.
