Bomb scare in mosque on live TV

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3: Security forces have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti, believed to be suffering from psychological problems and for claiming to have a bomb on him during a live telecast of a sermon at the Saud A-Rashid mosque in Adailiya, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the security sources, during the sermon the man claimed to be armed with a bomb and threatened to detonate it causing confusion among worshippers inside and outside the mosque as the incident was telecast live.

The person found to be mentally ill has been referred to the competent authorities. On the other hand, the Ministry of Information has opened an investigation with the crew of the Kuwait Television filming and television broadcasting team about the filming of the video that was broadcast live.

However, it is reported the crew immediately, cut television broadcasts of prayer, showed the mosque from outside, and stopped broadcasting the Friday sermon
