BMW blank Ministry of Electricity – Kazma qualify as RAR crush Al-Zamel team

KUWAIT CITY, June 10: The teams of BMW, Kazma and RAR have qualified for the next round of the Late Abdullah Meshari Al-Rawdhan Futsal Tournament 2017 after winning the matches held on the 14th day of the tournament.

In the first match, BMW team did not face any difficulty in passing the third test of the first-round matches. They achieved their third win after defeating the team of Ministry of Electricity with a great score of 5-0.

The Kazma team became the second team in the group to qualify for the next round after their match with Qatar’s Triple O team ended in a draw of one goal each.

In the third match, RAR team proved their eminence by delivering a crashing defeat for Al-Zamel Rehab Center team by a score of 8-3.

Today, four matches will be held. The Late Ali Karam team will play against the Blues team, the Jahra Club team will face the team of Gulf Cables, Al-Taresh Perfume team will face Holiday Inn team, and the final match of the day will be between the teams of the Late Ahmed Al-Roumi and Kuwait Credit Bank.

The Blues team are seeking their third win in order to top their group. On the other hand, there is no room for mistakes for the teams of Jahra Club and the Gulf Cables in their second encounter, as Jahra Club team need at least a draw to qualify for the next round while the Gulf Cables team need a win to get through.

Similar situation applies to the teams of Al-Taresh Perfume and Holiday Inn. The Holiday Inn team only need a draw but the Al-Taresh Perfume team require three points in order to qualify for the second round.

The same importance of the match applies for the teams of the Late Ahmed Al-Roumi and Kuwait Credit Bank. The latter need a win to get through but the Late Ahmed Al-Roumi team can comfortably settle for a draw in order to qualify.

Meanwhile, committee member for Futsal in the Bahraini Football Association Ahmad Al-Aamir affirmed that the association follows up several Futsal tournaments and even attends them.

He stressed that the Late Abdullah Meshari Al-Rawdhan Futsal Tournament is special and the association has been following the tournament for years.

Al-Aamir explained that the tournament has played a big role in promoting indoor football in the region by involving elite football players in the world. This has made a positive impact on the participants and their performance. A testimony to that is the Kuwait’s national team winning the Gulf championship and always qualifying for the Asian finals.

In the amateur category, Hassan Abul Center team managed to defeat Jahra Stars team by 2-0, qualifying them for the second round of the tournament. The teams of Al-Ameed (Kuwait Sports Club) and Barazoka also qualified for the next round after Al-Ameed team defeated Yarmouk (B) team by 1-0. The Barazoka team trounced Al-Hilal (A) team by five goals to nil.

In today’s amateur matches which will determine the last qualifying teams for the best of 16, Khalaf Al-Enezi team will meet Tactic team, the team of Sadan Academy will face the Late Ahmad Abul team, and the final match of the day will be between the teams of Al-Falah and the late Sheikh Khaled Al-Yousef.
