KUWAIT CITY, March 28: The Criminal Court Wednesday acquitted a blogger against whom a State Security case was filed for publishing false news on social media, misusing smartphone and planning to carry out attacks in the country. The court released the blogger without bail. The Public Prosecution had issued a decision to remand the blogger for 21 days in the Central Prison after it pressed the abovementioned charges against him.

‘Royal’ acquitted: The Criminal Court acquitted Sheikh Mesha’al Malik Al-Sabah against who a case was filed by the Amiri Diwan for allegedly violating the national unity law by calling for establishing a council of tribal leaders under the patronage of the state. He had called for establishing such a council based on the principles aimed at showing the civilized face of Kuwait as a united and modern country which includes unions, blocs and associations, as well as based on a sincere desire to enhance the national role of tribes in Kuwait.
