KUWAIT CITY, Jan 24: Kuwait Municipality has been contemplating measures to suspend the transactions of anybody who contravenes the building regulations set by concerned government authorities, reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said the procedure will be coordinated by the Municipality in collaboration with the Ministries of Interior, Justice, and Social Affairs. He explained the “Block” sign will be placed on the files of violators, and they will not be able to perform transactions until the violations are done with. He noted the step will serve as deterrent to others and prevent similar violations in future. He explained the Municipality set a committee to monitor repeated violations after some people exceeded authorized building levels and the committee arrived at this procedure, which it considers the best way to curb the excesses, and urged other authorities to get involved.Let off in forgery: The Criminal Court refrained from issuing penalty against two Egyptian expatriates who were accused of forging a civil ID and a rent contract. The Public Prosecution accused the first suspect of forging an official document when he replaced the photograph in a civil ID with that of the second suspect, made a copy of it and gave it to the second suspect for the latter to use as his own.
