Bid to steal oil pipes by expats worth KD 4,000 foiled

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 13: In a preemptive strike, the Interior Ministry thwarted the attempt by unidentified persons to steal oil pipes worth KD 4,000 dinars in the Kahloula 1 area off Al-Salmi Road belonging to the Kuwait Oil Company, reports Al-Rai daily.

The sources pointed out investigations are continuing to establish a link, if any, with similar thefts that have happened earlier. The sources pointed out, the security forces acting on information, rushed to the area and caught the gang members red-handed cutting oil pipes and preparing them for transport on a trailer truck.
