KUWAIT CITY, May 16: Cabinet has formed a ministerial committee with representatives from concerned bodies to speed up the procedures of developing the two artificial islands attached to Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting reliable sources. The decision is based on directives issued by HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to invite investors to put money into the islands for touristic and entertainment purposes, sources added.
Also, Cabinet has reviewed the recommendation of Public Services Committee concerning the request submitted by Ministry of Public Works for the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources to utilize water produced by the new Wafra and Khairan water treatment plants, and treated waters of Sabah Al-Ahmad and Al-Naseem residential areas for the cultivation of flowers.
