‘Be honest, be loyal to nation’

KUWAIT CITY, March 16: The Deputy Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant- General Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf has received the new batches of officers who have graduated from the Al-Zaeem Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah Air College ‘Batch 8’, the Ahmad bin Muhammad Military College of Qatar ‘Batch 16’ and Ali Al-Sabah Military College ‘Batch 47’ reports Al- Seyassah daily. Speaking during the event Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf congratulated the officers, saying, “On behalf of HH Sheikh Salem Al-Ali, Chief of the National Guard, and on my own behalf, we are pleased to meet with you today to congratulate you on your success and your graduation from the military colleges.”

He added, “The National Guard leadership is keen to meet with graduates to bless them on their joining the ranks of the National Guard to defend the homeland and protect its security and safety.” He expressed his deep thanks and appreciation for the efforts exerted by those in charge of education and training in the military colleges from which the officers have graduated, in order to prepare them scientifically and practically.

Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf addressing the officers, said, while you are at the beginning of your career as officers in the National Guard you have the greatest trust to defend the nation, defend its honor and bring security and safety for its citizens, in cooperation with your colleagues in armed forces – the ministries of defense and interior and the general firefighting force.

He added: “Keep in mind the righteousness in your oath to be loyal to the nation, to be honest, loyal to and obedient to your leaders and superiors.” He went on to say, benefit from the experiences of your brothers, leaders and seniors, perform your deeds and tasks that will be entrusted to you with full dedication and sincerity, respect values, principles and laws of our true religion, and portray the honorable image of the National Guard, whether inside or outside the walls of its camps.

He also called on the officers to participate actively in the comprehensive development that the National Guard undertakes to modernize the work mechanism according to its strategic approach. He said, “We reiterate our congratulations to you and your families, proud of you, happy for your graduation, praying to God to perpetuate security, safety, goodness and prosperity for our beloved homeland under the leadership of His Highness the Amir, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Highness, the faithful Crown Prince.” In conclusion, the new officers took an oath in front of the Deputy Chief of the National Guard, pledging to defend the homeland and protecting it.
