Bangladeshi driver denies abducting Kuwaiti female student

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23: The Bangladeshi driver who was wanted by law for allegedly attempting to kidnap a Kuwaiti girl in her 20s has been arrested.

According to security sources, the suspect works as a driver who transports female students to and from their homes and the applied training institute where they study.

Ahmadi securitymen arrested him, and conducted interrogations, during which the suspect insisted that he never tried to kidnap the girl. He stressed that she left the bus after shouting at him while he was dropping her to her house in Ahmadi Governorate.

The sources explained that the girl claimed he attempted to kidnap her and take her to a deserted area. Her mother said she tried to call the suspect several times. The suspect has been referred to the concerned authorities for further investigations.
