Thieves devise new ways to steal vehicles by tow truck
Police have arrested a three-man gang — a Kuwaiti, a bedoun, and a GCC citizen — for stealing cars using a tow truck, reports Al-Anba daily. Investigations conducted by the Abu Halifa police, revealed three suspects would hire a tow truck to rob cars under the pretext either car is damaged or the keys have been lost and pretend they want to take it to a garage in Fahaheel. The men would then make duplicate keys and use the cars to commit thefts by impersonating police. During interrogation the men have admitted to committing 22 thefts.
