Ban on poultry from Mexico, Gabon and France

KUWAIT CITY, June 4: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition has recommended banning the import of all types of fresh, chilled or frozen and processed poultry meat and products including table eggs; except the heat treated meat from Mexico, Gabon and France due to the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza, reports Al- Jarida daily.

In a press statement, the authority also confirmed that the Supreme Committee for Food Safety has recommended lifting the ban on the import of all types of fresh, chilled or frozen and processed poultry meat and products from Romania, Philippines and Portugal.
