Baby left at mosque; Maid steals jewelry

KUWAIT CITY, May 30, (Agencies): An infant was left abandoned in front of a mosque in Al-Riqqa area, reports Al-Rai daily. Reportedly, a Kuwaiti citizen went to the mosque to perform Isha prayer when he heard the cries of an infant and realized that someone had abandoned the baby at the mosque. He immediately notified the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior after which Ahmadi securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location and referred the infant to Adan Hospital. A case has been registered and securitymen have launched investigations to find the individual who abandoned the baby in front of the mosque.

Maid steals jewelry: A female citizen filed a complaint at Abu Halifa Police Station, accusing her Asian housemaid of stealing jewelry and KD1,200 cash from her room, reports Al-Rai daily. The complainant told police that she discovered the theft when she returned home after attending a breaking fast gathering with her daughters. She provided police with a detailed description of the suspect and other relevant information. Police are now looking for the suspect.
