KUWAIT CITY, Feb 23: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs announced on Thursday, that the closure of registration to perform Hajj on its website will be on the 28th of this February. The Director of Information Department at the Ministry, Dr. Ahmed Al-Otaibi, said in a press statement that the Hajj and Umrah Office Department will adopt priority for those who have not performed Hajj before, confirming its adoption selecting the beneficiaries according to the conditions and the electronic lottery.
Al-Otaibi added that the management of the Hajj and Umrah office will inform those who have been selected through the short message service (SMS), indicating at the same time that a period of 5 days has been granted to complete the process register with the campaign that the pilgrim desires. He explained that in the event of failure to register with the campaign, his registration will be canceled and the opportunity will be given to others, indicating that the number of those who registered to perform the ritual on the site as of yesterday exceeded 36,000.
