KUWAIT CITY, Sept 19: Kuwait Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Bader Al- Awadhi said Monday the participation of the Representative of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II reflected the deeprooted historical and strategic partnership between both countries.

The rulers of Kuwait and the late Queen maintained strong friendship over the past seven decades, which served the interests of the two countries and their peoples, the Ambassador Al- Awadhi said in statements to KUNA. His Highness the Crown Prince felt the close appreciation of the British ruling family, notably King Charles III, and the British government, during the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, added Al-Awadhi. General (Retd) Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, at Westminster Abbey in London on Monday.

Representative of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met Sunday evening King of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland Charles III at Buckingham Palace in London. During the meeting, His Highness the Crown Prince conveyed condolences of His Highness the Amir and Kuwait’s people to King Charles, affirming that Queen Elizabeth II had a special place in the hearts of Kuwaitis.
