Around 30 arrested as police bust brothels in many areas

KUWAIT CITY, June 5: Upon instructions from the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior L i e u t e n a n t – G e n e r a l Suleiman Al-Fahd and supervision of Acting Assistant Undersecretary for General Security Affairs Major-General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah with 30 senior officers, and personnel from the Public Security Department launched intensive campaigns in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Al-Hassawi and Khaitan and arrested 30 people, including prostitutes, fun-seekers and pimps from 9 vice dens and referred them to the authorities, reports Al-Anba daily.

A security source said the brothels looked like prisons with thick iron doors which were well protected 24/7. The source added the brothels created a romantic atmosphere with special lighting effects, sex posters and special beds for pleasure. All those arrested have been referred to the concerned authorities for necessary action.

Iranian assaults wife: The Salwa police have arrested and detained an Iranian for assaulting his compatriot wife, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said the arrest came after the wife filed a complaint with the Police Station accusing her husband of beating her just because she left the house without informing him and submitted a medical report to substantiate her claim.
