KUWAIT CITY, July 10: A Kuwait- born man with Dominican nationality has appealed to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah to allow his son to enter Kuwait, reports Al-Anba daily.

He said his son is also born in Kuwait. He said the young man who will be deported from Azerbaijan will lose his residence in Kuwait if he is not allowed to enter Kuwait within 10 days. “I was born in Kuwait, I am included in the 1965 census, I worked in the defense ministry and I participated in the war of Kuwait’s liberation. I was born at the Amiri Hospital in 1961, and I changed my status from ‘bedoun’ to Dominican in 1999 for naturalization of those holding valid residence. “On the basis of the instructions of the Central Committee of Illegal Residents, I have obtained Dominican passports for me, my wife and children and I have put residence for them from 1999 to 2019.

“On Jan 12, 2019, my son traveled to Azerbaijan and was checked at the airport on suspicion of a passport but he was released. It was found that there is an order preventing my son from entering Kuwait from the Kuwaiti Interpol. “The procedures of Azerbaijan have ended and he will be returned to Kuwait but if the ban is not lifted he will not be able to enter Kuwait.”
