Appeal denied as 10-yr jail stays for man in terror case

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 16: The Misdemeanor Court has rejected an appeal filed by a Kuwaiti man against the decision of the First Instance Court that sentenced him to 10 years in prison with hard labor for allegedly funding the activities of terrorist groups through weapon procurement.
The Public Prosecution Department charged the appellant for funding an outlawed group to depose a legitimate government and illegally supporting the activities of terrorist groups. He was also accused of direct involvement in heinous terror attacks by willingly and illegitimately providing funds for a series of terror activities.
